The U.S. ready to deal with North Koreans

UNITED STATE

Earlier in December the dictator Kim Jong had repeatedly warned US President Donald Trump, until December 31 to deliver a breakthrough proposal to restart negotiations. The warnings come at the end of a year of numerous rocket launches and missile tests after a lengthy pause. Kim jong had warned to deliver “Christmas gift” if the US failed to restart sanction talks.

“We’ll find out what the surprise is and we’ll deal with it very successfully,” Trump told reporters on 24 Dec 2019 in response to Kim Jong.

The US and North Korea have made an effort to restart negotiations behind the scenes in October but the second so-called peace summit had broken down in Vietnam without an agreed deal for denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.

As a solution to “break the deadlock on the peninsula” China and Russia both have suggested that the UN have to lift a ban on some North Korean exports, like textiles and seafood.

In the last week of December in reaction to North Korea’s ambiguous reference to a possible “Christmas gift”.The US military has sent four surveillance planes, simultaneously, over and around the Korean Peninsula. Without any direct US military action against North Korea, the US official strongly emphasized the current plan is for it to be a show of force only.

As North Korea has warned of a possible missile launch or nuclear test for late December amid stalled nuclear negotiations with the US.
